Welcome to year 6.
Your teacher this year will be Mrs Nash. Mrs Jennings, the teaching assistant, will join us in class on Monday- Thursday each week.
Our topic this term will be The Victorians which we will begin with a walk around Leamington Spa looking for Victorian connections.

Sean, the seminarian, & Erin, our parish youth worker, visited Year 6 to talk about saints & vocations.
Investigations during science week.
This week we worked in groups using our previous knowledge to solve maths problems.
One member from each team was chosen for their outstanding teamworking skills.
Wow! What an achievement! These are our top spellers for this term, proving that consciencious homework practise brings great results.

We are Explorers! We all dressed up as explorers & worked in groups to develop our orienteering skills.

During vocations week, Mrs Cullinane & Mr Ashfield came in to talk to us about what called them to do their jobs. They use the gifts of honesty, patience, perseverence, good communication & listening skills, sympathy and empathy in their work. It was very interesting & we all found it inspiring.
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we welcomed Mrs Ashby into Year 6 to share her favourite poetry book with us.
We have been writing our own prayers of forgiveness & Louise, Taya, Millie & Liam shared their prayers as they led us in a liturgy.
Year 6 enjoyed working as a team to build a pyramid in gymnastics.
Having located the continents on our world map, we discovered where the animals, which we saw at Twycross Zoo, originated from.
To introduce our World War 1 topic we did army drill training in P.E.
Alton Castle provided lots of fun and challenges!
Year 6 visited the Records Office & St John's Museum to find out more about World War 1.
