This week we looked at different types of levers. As knights, the children were challenged to build a catapult to knock down a castle wall. They then investigated launching a variety of objects.
We also made ‘Moving Pictures’ using sliders, levers and pivot levers.
Our new topic is called 'Cracking Ideas.'We will learn about lots of inventors such as: George Stephenson, Tim Berners-Lee, Frank Whittle and many others.
This week we have designed our own cars and today we started making them.
Today some of Year 2 represented our school at a Gymnastics Competition at LWGC. The children had two routines to learn which they were judged on and afterwards they got to use the amazing gymnastic equipment.
